The K-8 school day starts every day at 8:25 a.m. with morning prayers and
announcements. Students are expected to be in their classes by this time.
The doors to the school open at 8:00 a.m. The day ends at 2:30 p.m. when
walkers are dismissed to meet their parents. Buses leave the yard at approximately
2:40 p.m.
For safety reasons, if a child who normally takes the bus is going to be a walker,
a note must be sent in to the homeroom teacher that morning.
Nursery School schedule is Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 noon until 2:30
p.m.
Pre-K schedule is either:
Pre-K1 - Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
OR
Pre-K2 - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m.
Attendance
Calls should be made to the school office (667-6229) between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30
a.m. to report the absence of students. A signed written note must also be
sent into school on the day your child returns to school stating the reason for
the absence.
Dress Down Guidelines
You should wear neat, clean, casual clothes. Jeans are OK as long as they are neat,
not ripped, not too baggy or tight. In warmer weather, capris and longer shorts
are OK. Students may not wear: tank tops, belly shirts, short shorts, very short
skirts, shirts with any offensive pictures or sayings, pants with anything written
across the rear.
Dress Up Guidelines
You should dress as you would if you were going to church, or to a special family
dinner out. Dress pants or neat khakis and sweaters are fine. Jeans and T-shirts
are not acceptable, nor are denim skirts. In warmer weather, capris and LONG shorts
(to the knee or longer!) are OK if you wear them with a dress shirt or blouse.
School Board
The School Board of Ss. Cyril and Methodius serves as an advisory board to the Pastor
and the Principal. It is their duty to enforce and create policy for the school.
Meetings are held once a month with two open meetings; one in the fall and one in
the spring. All parents/guardians are encouraged to attend our open meetings.
